The Nannup Music Festival has welcomed Gertrude WellEase for well over a decade now, continuing to offer the perfect playground to test, stretch and share new artistic adventures.

In 2026 we returned once more, bringing our beloved mobile wardrobe and the spirit of FIFO (Frock In, Frock Out) back to town all adding colour and curiosity to the festival streets.

This year we also explored Celebration Hats. An immersive, almost meditative exercise of upcycling old hats with found materials and recycled items destined for landfill.  The creativity and design innovation was outstanding.  

Interestingly once we removed the glue guns, the vibe of the workshop changed dramatically.  Less demanding, less chaotic and far more collaborative.  We received comments such as “What a fabulous opportunity you created for so many to experience joy.  Such fun to be a part of”.  

The smiles say a lot.

 Staying true to its mission, the Nannup Music Festival keeps championing emerging artists and original work, giving us space to experiment, take risks and grow new shows in real time with an open‑hearted audience.   This year it was Chickens and Angels with our local Denmark Here and Now Theatre group.

An award‑winning regional event, Nannup Music Festival still holds tight to the magic and intimacy of community – a place where new projects are born, long‑time collaborators reunite, and audiences stumble across something they didn’t even know they were looking for.
